*2. RELAY FOR LIFE A-B MEETING:* Dr. Tovah Day from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston will be the guest speaker today at 6:30 p.m. at the Relay For Life of A-B meeting. Lecture will be at the A-B High School Cafeteria. Day will share how her important work is helping in the fight to end cancer. After the presentation, there will be updates about the community event and information on how to support Relay For Life in 2013.
The Relay For Life of Acton-Boxborough will take place May 18-19 at NARA Park in Acton.
*3. MINUTEMAN OPEN HOUSE:* Minuteman Technical Institute will be hosting several open houses this spring for interested students to learn about post-graduate programs and the application process. The next open house is today at 7 pm. MTI is located at 758 Marrett Road, Lexington.
*4. HOLIDAYS HELD TODAY:* Today is Girl Scout Leader Day. Girl Scout Leader Day recognizes and honors the many adult volunteers to the girl scouting program. Girl Scout Leader Day began on April 22, 1982, when a flag honoring Girl Scout leaders was flown over the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. This day honors the thousands of volunteers who help to make the Girl Scout program a success.
