Science Night in District 46, sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America in cooperation with the Girl Scouts, was a big hit with students and grown-ups alike at Frederick School Tuesday.
The hands-on science experiments, about 20 total, ranged from making toothpaste explode and creating slime to blasting off a squeeze rocket and extracting DNA.
Many of the experiments were conducted by scientists, engineers and professionals from area companies.
Other area schools will enjoy the same program this week including Woodland Elementary, Millburn Elementary and Palombi School in Lake Villa.
