Muskego Teen Rescued from Overdose, But Charged With Possession Patch Muskego, WI --

In an all-too familiar scenario, a Muskego girl was revived after a heroin overdose on April 14, but now faces a prison sentence and possible fines in Milwaukee County court for possession of narcotic drugs.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police responded to a McDonald's at 1575 W. Washington Street in Milwaukee for what was determined to be a heroin overdose.

The 17-year-old was lying on the ground and unresponsive, and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Jacob Lichtenberger, 22, of Greenfield told police he was the one who called them but denied knowing the girl.

Later, reports state Lichtenberger admitted that the girl was in his vehicle where they both injected heroin together when she slumped over.

Police recovered syringes, tin cups and "other items consistent with injection of heroin from within the vehicle."

A search of the girl's possession also uncovered a baggie of heroin, which the girl later told police she purchased from Lichtenberger for $40.

Both the girl, who has entered a not guilty plea at a hearing on April 19, and Lichtenberger face a maximum penalty of 3 1/2 years in prison, $10,000 in fines or both if convicted. Reported by Patch 12 hours ago.
