Girl Scout Cookies Sales Begin Today Patch Freehold, NJ --

For those who love Girl Scout cookies, it may start to feel like the holiday season all over again.

Beginning today, Girl Scout cookies are now available in Freehold. According to a Girl Scout Troop 2780 spokesperson, scouts will be selling cookies door-to-door and at local establishments.

A press release for the Girl Scouts of Monmouth and Ocean Counties states that starting today, eight varieties of cookies will be on sale. The eight cookies on sale include Samoas, Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Do-Di-dos, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles, Dulce de Leche and Thank U Berry Munch. Each box of cookies cost $4.

While the cookies are delicious, sales of Girl Scout cookies gives girls multiple opportunities to raise funds that help them achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves. The press release further explains that the Girl Scout cookie sale also supports other community organizations and the military. The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore are continuing its “Gift of Caring” program in partnership with the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean County developed as a service project where each troop/group can donate cookies to worthwhile causes.

If you don’t see a Girl Scout selling cookies, you can still purchase your favorite cookies online at www.girlscoutsjs.org/cookiesext. Reported by Patch 15 hours ago.
