Pair Arrested on Back-to-Back Nights for Smoking Pot Patch Greenfield, WI --

If there’s a record for arrests on consecutive days, a pair of young men with an apparent marijuana problem appear to be gunning for it.

According to the Greenfield Police Department, at 10 p.m. Sunday, officers checked out a suspicious vehicle at the dead end on 72nd Street and Van Norman Avenue.

In the vehicle were a 21-year-old Wauwatosa man, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man and a 19-year-old West Allis woman, as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The 19-year-old man was cited for prowling and possession of drug paraphernalia, the 21-year-old for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and prowling and the woman for prowling. All were issued citations and released.

Lesson learned, right? Wrong.

The next night at 6 p.m., the 21-year-old came to the front lobby of the police department to report his cell phone as lost or stolen. He told an officer he thought he left it on the counter in the lobby when he was released the night before.

Sounds innocent enough, but the officer who met him in the lobby immediately smelled the scent of fresh marijuana coming from the man, who was searched and found to be in possession of marijuana and illegal prescription narcotic pills. He was arrested and booked — again —and this time ordered to the District Attorney’s office for criminal charges.

When officers went out to talk to his friends, who were waiting in a vehicle in the front parking lot, and inform them their friend had been arrested again, there was the 19-year-old Milwaukee man from the night before and a 16-year-old-Milwaukee girl. Officers also smelled burning marijuana.

They two were arrested. The 19-year-old was booked and issued a his second citation for possession of drug paraphernalia in less than 24 hours. The girl was cited for possession of paraphernalia.

But wait, there’s more.

The 16-year-old’s 37–year-old mother showed up to pick up her daughter and was found to have a warrant with Greenfield police. She is eventually released after signing a personal recognizance bond. Reported by Patch 3 hours ago.
